About Toronto Art Academy

Toronto Art Academy is a private school approved by the Ontario government (BSID#668739). With experienced Ontario Certified Teachers and state-of-the-art facilities,the school has become known as one of the top, new teaching centers in Toronto.

As a specialized high school, Toronto Art Academy has established a four-year art education high school curriculum.In addition to studying grade 9-12 courses, students can also specialize in art courses including graphic design, architectural design, visual art, media art, as well as dance, theater performance, music.

Toronto Art Academy offers preparatory art classes and develops tailor-made learning and internship plans for students. Toronto Art Academy graduates receive the internationally recognized Ontario High School Diploma (OSSD), as well as various ARTS certificates.

Danielle Davies

Danielle Davies has spent most of her career as a teacher, manager and leader. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Ontario College of Art & Design University; Master of Fine Arts Degree from Concordia University. She majored in sculpture and continues to create using textiles, photography, painting and illustration. Danielle’s passion for teaching comes through in everything she does and she is fully committed to supporting students on the life journey.

Dr. Zina Chernyavska

Dr. Zina Chernyavska, M.S.ED (Biology & Chemistry), Ph.D. in Education, member of OTC since 1997. Dr. Zina Chernyavska also completed study at Kiev’s Academy of Arts. Her 30+ years of science and arts teaching experience includes Professorship at Champlain College in Montreal, and 20 years of teaching high school students at different public school boards in Ontario and Quebec. Well known among colleagues for her innovative leadership style, she uses in her teaching the newest educational methods that improve inclusive education and promote development of higher achievers.

Evan Liu

Mr. Evan Liu graduated from life science at the University of Toronto and Design Program at OCAD University. He is also a registered architectural and interior designer in Ontario. With a solid science and art background, Evan has been teaching primary art and design courses in school for over 10 years. He has successfully assisted many students apply and admit into different art and design programs in Canada. He dedicated to inspire and motivate students’s creativity and artistry.

Ali Eshtoyaghi

Mr. Ali Eshtoyaghi holds a Master degree of English Literature and Philosophy at University of Toronto, Canada. He strives for innovation, is skillful at putting theory into practice, and keeps on improving pedagogy. With a solid foundation in theories. Ali has had substantial contribution in course design. His teaching activities in great variety are both entertaining and inspiring with significant outcomes.

Reza Eslami

Mr. Reza Eslami is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) currently employed at the York Region District School Board and AIA Richmond private high school. Reza has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology in Iran and a Bachelor of Teacher Education From Brock University in Canada. He has been teaching mathematics and physics over 10 years in more than 15 different high schools.

Armita Helforoush

Armita Helforoush graduated in Kinesiology and aspires to achieve a greater depth in health and Science from York University. She strives to create and maintain an environment where students can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them, and is committed to providing student with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning.
